The dad and mom of a 17-year-old lady consented to a a number of organ transplant in Pune this week after their daughter was declared mind useless from struggling an aneurysm with an intracranial bleed. She suffered an aneurysm with an intracranial bleed and was declared mind useless on August 18.
The lady’s organs have been harvested by a multi-transplant group from varied hospitals on August 18 at D Y Patil Hospital. Her liver and one kidney have been allotted to waitlisted sufferers on the hospital, whereas her lungs have been then flown to KIMS in Hyderabad the subsequent day, on August 19. The opposite kidney was despatched for transplant to Jehangir Hospital. Her corneas have been additionally donated.

Aarti Gokhale, chief transplant coordinator at Zonal Transplant Coordination Committee, mentioned this was the 21st organ donation in Pune this 12 months.
