LAKE CITY — Roy J. Fleming, age 71, of Lake Metropolis handed away Sunday, April 12, 2020 at his dwelling.
Roy was born November 6, 1948 in Pontiac to Walter and Thelma (Brady) Fleming. He married Nancy Schade on July 29, 2018. Roy graduated from Waterford Kettering Excessive College in Waterford in 1966 and likewise from Lawrence Institute of Know-how in Detroit.
He was employed for 24 years, as an engineer with Customers Energy in Pontiac earlier than retiring. He was a member of the Flannel Shirt Gang of the St. Andrews Church in Waterford and the Crank Benders Automobile Membership in Lake Metropolis.
Roy was identified at age 12 with Sort 1 juvenile diabetes. Roy was preceded in dying by his dad and mom and a niece Bridget Fleming.
He will probably be remembered for his kindness, his gentleness, his chuckle, humorousness and love of vehicles and music from the ’50s and ’60s. Roy had a lifelong ardour for vehicles, particularly his 1990 Purple Prowler. He spent a few years serving to together with his brother-in-law’s race crew in Kinross.
He will probably be sadly missed by anybody who was lucky to have identified him.
