Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police will take Himanshu Bhusan Nanda, the prime accused of the kidney transplant fraud on a two-day remand to extract extra details about the racket, knowledgeable Bhubaneswar DCP, Umashankar Das on Friday.
As per stories, Himanshu has already duped many kidney sufferers to the tune of Rs 18 Lakh on the pretext of arranging donors. And he might be taken on remand to unearth extra such doable fraudulent transactions from unsuspecting sufferers.
Briefing reporters at this time, DCP Das stated, “The accused has many circumstances in his title at a number of police stations in Bhubaneswar. After we got here to know that he has defrauded greater than Rs 18 Lakh, we determined to take him on remand as there are probabilities that he might need duped many extra such sufferers.”
“Himanshu remains to be hiding many issues and isn’t cooperating with police. There are a lot of different complainants too who couldn’t come within the open. So a remand of two days will give us ample time to construct an iron clad case round him,” added Das.
Denying to reveal any extra details about an alleged nexus between some medical personnel and the accused, Das stated, “It will likely be untimely to say something about such hyperlink as we have no idea who else is concerned with him. However so far as the investigation is worried, Himanshu is the one accused on this case until now. We can shed extra mild on this after we deliver him on remand.”
It’s pertinent to say right here that Himanshu was arrested from Bhubaneswar for allegedly duping lakhs of rupees from kidney sufferers on the pretext of arranging donors. The arrested youth, aged 32, occurs to be a resident of Nuapatna in Pattamundai of Kendrapara district and had been staying in Uttara space of the capital metropolis.
His fraudulent acts to the fore when some harmless victims reached the hospital with the ‘pretend’ paperwork he had handed over to them promising authorized kidney transplantation.
