Tom Brady Helps Lexington Mom Get New Kidney
Ajisa Bethiel escaped the carnage of Bosnia in 1994 and now, she has another story of survival. The Lexington resident...
God bless you Dr. Welsh. Was the outcome positive? Did you start a chain? Did you hear from your recipient? I too gave to a stranger 3 years ago. I was clearly told that I might never hear a word from my recipient. I did not expect this to happen but so far nothing. I absolutely do not want to be thanked, but it is an ENORMOUS disappointment that for all that effort I know nothing. I now expect that I will never know if I made a difference or not. Also you are great that you as a medical professional will do this. At the large institution where I gave (25,000+ employees) NO ONE in the renal program has done this, yet they advocate for donation. I absolutely admire those who lead by example. Also for what it's worth, like you my physical health is unchanged. If a reader is considering donation I say go ahead and get tested. It will likely be the most exhaustive medical exam of your life. It takes months and you will not be approved unless you are in excellent health.
I hope someone can donate me a kidney because I only have 1 kidney and that kidney is only working 7.2 percent , I'm 37 years old and have 5 kids , I appreciate you so much if you can…my phone # is 7734571648, blood type is (o)
We need more people like you in this world Dr. Welsh. I am on dialysis and looking for a kidney match myself. Praying and hoping to find someone as altruistic as you.
