I do Hemo from home. My girlfriend is a nurse case manager. The rate Of infection for PD is astronomically high. You didn’t mention that. Thank you for making such an informative video though. God bless
I’m very worried bcoz I never done dialysis before. I’m preparing for my dialysis and I don’t know which of the two should I pick.
Very informative.visit me also😊
soooooo useful 💜💜
My fiancé is in stage five and is waiting for a transplant and your channel has been very helpful, thanks.
Thank you, come to my video, thank you for your help
Thank you for sharing !!!
My son is going to CAPD soon
The reason I watched your segment is because I am going to be training to do home dialysis. I appreciate your honest opinions. Thanks for sharing and may God bless you.
I have an appointment tomorrow with a pd doctor with my mom. She is on Hemo and it is killing her heart and she keeps getting fluid overload because they never pull enough water off her and she follows the fluid restriction. She has been on Hemo since the end of June and she has to replace the heart Catheter for the 3rd time. I'm Hoping I can keep her Alive long enough to get pd. It's so hard on her. She never wants to eat and is always tired and always has pain in her back and has already been in the hospital for pulmonary edema which is fluid in the lungs. Also if your going to do Hemo make sure you get some Nepro shake because you will need the nutrition replacement after Hemo Dialysis. It is expensive but it helps so much.
To be honest, I will prefer hemodialiysis to peritoneal. I will never want someone to mess with my stomach.
Thanks! That was really helpful!
Thanks so much for this video. I have decided to switch my dialysis (haven't started yet) from hemo to PD based on your experience.
Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. I’m in between my dialysis choices. How long had you been in peritoneal dialysis?
Hi thanks for the video but it would have been nice to have explained the benefits of hemodialysis.. Also, how did you feel after these treatments? Could you compare the effect on your energy levels after both? I did CAPD for 9 months and hated it – felt it was restrictive when done four times a day as you couldn't go anywhere for any length of time and the machine, as you pointed out was a painful experience and left me exhausted every morning. Not to mention the huge stomach /peritoneum I developed (and still have despite having had a transplant now for 12 years). Did you end up looking like Michelin man? I did.

I'm on PD right now.so far I'm getting used to it.🙏👍
what is your specialty, am curious in kowing more about u? so feel free to share with me
Thank you sooo much so informative
Thank you this has helped me a lot. Which is better in your opinion CAPD or APD?
Thank you. I had not heard of PD and am quite relieved. I am on blood thinners due to a carbon St. Jude Mitral valve. My thinners makes the HD graft and poking highly problematic. pD sounds like a viable alternative. Although not pain free. I am 70ish and plan on staying stage 3 forever. God may have other plans for me. We shall see. CHF is also an issue.
good time i come again my english listening is'nt good . so i write . my mother is worried about my older brother . he was very good footbalist and he is power specialist . but his kidneyies had been failed for 12 years. without any sign of failur . stupid public doctor said him ,,your are anemic and gave him folic acid . any way for first 2 years he was under dialis set . then he was unsuccessful transplant and now he is dialising in peritoneal way . his specialist doctor <<BELADY. >>said your panel is on 75 and you cant get kidney from other until your panel come down on 25 . and now his hose in his belt are infected 2 or 3 times . and doctor said maybe you should return to homo dialis . and this is horrible for my brother . my mother is very sad for her son and massage his waist and his leg every day . what type of recomend for hime . we live in iran .
Please answer this question for me. I'm a diabetic I now have only 11% kidney function and I'm just not peeing much and I'm full of fluid. But since I'm a diabetic I've read that this solution is full of sugar and doesn't that make you gain weight and make your blood sugar very high? Also I have a hernia and wouldn't I need to get that fixed first? It doesn't sound like I would like hemo if you have to keep the fistula forever and you can't lift more than 10 lb. I love my dogs and their small ones only 5 lbs the other one is 14 and I couldn't pick her up. I don't like that. I have no idea what to do just getting very sick and feel very bad and I haven't had a fistula put in.
Very informative and helpful. I learned a lot. Thank you for making this video.

Are Doctors helpless about Dialysis patients
Is Kidney a mere source of income like the movie Coma?
How much percent Dialysis patients survive or improve rapidly?
is dialysis worse than chemotherapy?
Thank you for sharing all of this info. Great stuff!
